What happened in the the D-Day was that 150,000 Allie  soldiers landed on the shores of Normandy  they had a big war in front of them. They got orders from Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower. And on that very day he said this to his troops 

 "I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full victory!
Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessings of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking."(d-day)

On June, 6 1944 the troops landed on the shore of Normandy, France. There they would march 50-miles to Fight Germany.
